We are passionate about providing individualised services tailored to your family’s needs. Below is an overview of what we offer; however we encourage parents to complete our intake form before recommending the assessment or intervention option best suited for your child.

We make use of a variety of standardized and non standardized assessment tools in order to assess a child’s functioning at home and school Our assessments focus on sensory processing skills, social interaction and play skills, functioning at home and at school, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, visual perceptual skills and basic concepts.
Â
This includes an interview with the parents, communication with the child’s teacher, a one-one assessment session, a written report and a feedback meeting.

Schools can request screenings of their grade 00, grade R or grade 1 learners in order to identify learners who might have difficulties within a specific area of development. The screenings are conducted individually by the therapists from our practice and this is done at the relevant school, during school hours.Â
Â
A screening report is then shared with the parents and teacher (where consent is given) and this allows parents and teachers to be aware of any areas of difficulty and to support learners early on where needed. Schools are welcome to contact us for more information about our screening services. Bookings need to be made well in advance as screenings can take 1-2 weeks to complete, depending on the size of the group.

School visits allow for the therapist to observe children at school to obtain more information about strengths and weaknesses with regards their participation and engagement in the school environment.
This also allows for collaboration between the therapist and teacher when implementing strategies to support a child’s functioning at school.

Home visits can be arranged, depending on the needs of the family and reason for referral.
Â
Observing a child within their home environment also allows therapists to formulate relevant and realistic therapy goals and identify support strategies that can be implemented at home.
